At Kainva, every product is carefully inspected before dispatch to ensure it reaches you in excellent condition. Since many of our products are handpicked and limited in stock, we do not accept returns or offer refunds except under the circumstances mentioned below.
Eligible Cases for Return or Replacement
A return or replacement request will only be considered if:
● You received a damaged product.
● You received the wrong item.
● The size delivered is different from the size ordered.
● The product has a genuine manufacturing defect.
Mandatory Unboxing Video
To process any complaint regarding a damaged, missing, or incorrect product, an uninterrupted 360° unboxing video is mandatory.
The video must:
● Begin before opening the parcel.
● Clearly show the shipping label with your address.
● Capture the sealed outer package.
● Continue without any cuts until the parcel is fully opened and the product is displayed.
Requests submitted without a complete unboxing video will not be eligible for replacement or refund.
Reporting an Issue
If you experience any of the eligible issues mentioned above, please contact our customer support within 24 hours of receiving your order through our website, email, or customer support channels.
Requests made after this period may not be accepted.
Products That Cannot Be Returned
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
● Products purchased during sales, promotions, or at discounted prices.
● Products that have been used, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery.
● Return requests made after the specified reporting period.
● Change of mind, personal preference, or incorrect ordering by the customer.
Saree-Specific Return Policy
As sarees are handcrafted and woven using traditional techniques, certain natural characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects.
The following are NOT considered defects:
● Small knots or bumps where threads are joined during weaving.
● Slight uneven threads connecting the border and body.
● Slubs (tiny natural thread knots).
● Minor gaps around woven motifs.
● Slight dye transfer between the body and pallu in powerloom sarees.
● Loose tying threads in Bandhani sarees.
● Minor colour variations due to photography, lighting, or individual device display settings.
The following ARE considered defects:
● Tears or cuts in the saree.
● Incorrect saree length compared to the product description.
● Missing blouse piece when it is specifically mentioned as included.
Quality Inspection
Once we receive your return request, our quality team will inspect the product. If the issue is confirmed as a genuine defect or an error on our part, we will offer one of the following:
● Replacement of the same product (subject to availability)
● Exchange for another product of equal or higher value (price difference, if any, to be paid by the customer)
● Store credit
● Refund, where applicable
The final decision will be based on the inspection results.
Return Process
1. Contact our customer support with your order details and the mandatory unboxing video.
2. Once your request is approved, we will provide return instructions.
3. The product must be shipped back in its original condition, along with all tags and packaging, within the timeline communicated by our support team.
4. After successful inspection, the approved replacement, store credit, or refund will be processed.
International Orders
For international orders, the customer is responsible for all return shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, and any related fees incurred during the return process.
